The St. Ann's Altar Society meets every 2nd Thursday of each month. All ladies of the
parish are invited to join this group. |
|
|
| Greeters |
| The Adult Program Task Force is organizing a list of
greeters for the weekend Masses. This is a very easy way to donate 15 minutes of your time
to the church. You and your family will stand at the doors leading into church and greet
fellow parishioners and visitors as they enter. This allows a warm greeting for those
attending Mass and is an excellent way to meet parishioners you do not already know.
Please call Ruth Trager at 646-1540 to sign up for a Mass. The greeting will not be a time
for chit-chat inside the church. People are praying at this time, so please be considerate
of those in prayer and reverent to the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament. |

Blue
Army |
|
Founder of the
Blue Army of Our Lady: Monsignor Harold Colgan, the founder who promised all that he could
to make known the conditions of Our Lady of Fatima for the Conversion of Russia, said
"Atheists have developed a Red Army... let us be a Blue Army of our Lady to fulfill
her conditions for their conversion." BLUE stands for two things: Our Lady and Our
Daily Duty. ARMY signifies that those who make the pledge are committing themselves on our
Lady's side against evil forces. Spreading the
message of Fatima to bring about the triumph of Her Immaculate Heart is the purpose of the
Blue Army. |

| Legion of Mary |
| St. Columban's has an active Legion of Mary group meeting
on Monday afternoons at 3:00 p.m. in the rectory. The Legion of Mary members call on the
sick, shut-ins, newcomers, and inactive Catholics to encourage them in their Faith. Some
help with funeral dinners and sacristy work. If you
like visiting with members of our parish family who are homebound and elderly, you might
consider joining us. Call Rita Jones at 646-5726 for more information. |
