Children had a blast at the 41st annual St. Columban's Octoberfest taking part in many activities.
A demolition dome, duck pond, hay rides, mini golf, cake walks, inflatable bounce,
basketball shooting game, inflatable obstacle course, bingo, buggy rides, train rides,
a giant slide (above), and more kept children smiling from ear to ear.

The 41st annual St. Columban's Octoberfest was held Sunday, October 12, 2014, from 12 to 4 p.m. on the St. Columban Catholic Church grounds at 1111 Trenton St. Live entertainment included two local talents, Glory Road and Grand River Harmony Chorus. There were also tons of games including: Demolition dome, a giant slide, a duck pond, hay rides, mini golf, cake walks, an inflatable bounce, shooting stars, an inflatable obstacle course, bingo, buggy rides, face painting, a large raffle, and train rides. A food court served festival favorites like walking tacos, pulled pork, funnel cakes, sodas, ice cream, cake, burgers, hot dogs, brats and more. Harvest Country Store was also in popular featuring a variety of homemade goodies.

Congratulations to Rosie and Gordon Smith for being named as Unsung Heroes! Over the years, they have given countless volunteer hours to both the church and school. Whether it is cooking for a big fundraising meal, cooking for funeral dinners, or just helping out however they can, they generously share their time and talents with many. They are greatly appreciated! Oktoberfest Committee
