Fr. Tom's Tomes January 14, 2007

The New Year has not been as kind to me as I would like it to have been. Some of you know that my health has not been doing too well recently. It seems this past week I have not been feeling well at all. I have missed celebrating Masses in the morning and have not been around very much.

It seems my blood sugar level and my fybromyalgia have been out of control. I have talked with doctors on a daily basis since last Sunday and today is Thursday. What I have been told is that for a while I will need to slow down some what. Both doctors without talking with each other have said that I should not be working more than six hours a day for a while. The doctors have been very clear as to what they are expecting me to do and not to do. The reason for the slow down in work is so that hopefully my body will be able to heal itself.

I personally am not an individual who sits and likes to do nothing. For such a long time I have tried my best to keep busy and occupied. Now my doctors are insisting I change my ways for a while. I will do my best but I sure do hope this time goes by very quickly.

I would ask you to please check the weekly Mass Schedule very carefully about the times of Mass. Weekend Masses will stay at the same time however the time of the weekday Mass schedules can change. This week there will only be Mass on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. These Masses will be at 8:15 am. I did oversleep a couple of time this past week for Mass and I hope not to do this in the future.

I would ask you to keep the doctors in your prayers so they will be able to get me back on my feet and going very quickly. Thank you for your understanding and help.

God bless you.
Fr. Tom
