Fr. Tom's Tomes October 23, 2005

The days are very busy as both school and parish ministries continue to fill up my time. I want to thank all parishioners for the wonderful gift of my vacation. I enjoyed the wildlife and beauty of our country as I visited Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

Returning to the parish last weekend was the beginning of a busy week. This coming week from October 26 - October 31, 2005 I will be leading a group of 72 individuals to the National Catholic Youth Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. At this time there are still four places open for youth to go. I am trying to fill these places with youth from St. Columban.

At the time of the writing of this article I am in the process of attempting to find four youth from St. Columban to come and join our group. If you are reading this article on Saturday or Sunday and are interested please let me know and see if there are still any vacancies available. The National Catholic Youth Convention is a conference for youth to deepen their knowledge and faith about the Catholic Faith. There will be about 20,000 youth present, all thinking and learning about there faith. I am excited about the fact that we do have spots open for youth from St. Columban to go. If your child is interested in going please encourage them to go.

God bless you and have a good week.
